Certification of sustainability of the Caleido Tower
The Caleido tower is the new skyscraper under construction that will be erected next to the Cuatro Torres Business Area complex (CTBA), located north of the city of Madrid. With a height of 181 meters and 36 floors, this infrastructure will house an educational institution, a medical clinic and a shopping centre.
Facing a work of such magnitude, and given the importance of promoting and ensuring the quality and sustainability of infrastructures, the analysis of the building’s sustainability potential is a fundamental task.
This has been the task of everis Ingeniería, addressed by our team with the goal of checking and determining the sustainable potential of the building, advising on this matter evaluating the incorporation of improvements to the project and the work, and certifying the building based on the LEED-CS standard with the final implantation of the LEED-CI.
As a result of this work, we have prepared a diagnostic report of the initial situation, in which it has reached the GOLD level, and drafted a dossier of improvement proposals to be implemented. In addition, it is expected that in the coming months, and once the study is completed, we will be able to deliver the LEED-CS certificate that will officially accredit it as a sustainable project.
